I was now on vacation and had the last few weeks left the castle a bit aside and must my frustration now but articulate. WHY does it go so miserably lagsam?
I feel that maybe there are still 5 people working on the facades, on the roof is nothing, only the dome is something like a progress to see. I am a bit annoyed by this.I actually had the hope that the construction progress until the day of the open door something delayed, just to signal that you need donations. But why you leave so much time, I do not understand. With 50 workers on the construction site the portals and the Schlüterhof would be finished in a week, the dome in 4. Why this at this speed still probably far into the autumn draws, I do not light up, just when the dome covers Should focus solely on safety considerations for the workers but the focus on getting the best possible weather.
But well, we can not change it anyway, but I'm already impatient now and want to see the castle now finally: biggrin:
I have watched the construction of this building for years, and am still amazed that German efficiency seems to have been abandoned for fewer workers and an unduly slow pace of construction. Despite concerns for the feelings of Berlin's population, this should be viewed as an important German national undertaking. It represents German history, artistic achievements and architectural excellence. There should be no concerns for funding such a national project. That there are such problems indicates a deep political divide and an unwillingness to come to terms with the undeniable fact that Germany is a unique nation. The very same thing could be said for the hair-pulling over the reconstruction of the nationaldenkmal. Without Wilhelm I would there even be a Germany as we know it, or only a collection of little states united by economic convenience?
